Fairfield by Marriott Mumbai International Airport kicked off the Christmas season with their unique cake-mixing ceremony with a sunset and runway view.
On Saturday, November 18, 2023, this beautiful property celebrated the cake mixing ceremony at their rooftop lounge, Sora, with celebrities, influencers, food bloggers, and hotel staff.
The cake-mixing ceremony was graced by power couple Keith Sequeria and Rochelle Rao. Big Boss fame Srishty Rode also graced the occasion.
Talking about the old tradition, Ajoy Balakrishna, vice president of the Balwa Group, said, “Our hotel is known for its breathtaking runway view, so we came up with this idea of doing cake mixing during sunset time. This auspicious ceremony with the perfect view started our Christmas festivities on a high note, and I am grateful to our guests who came and participated in the ceremony.”
Corporate Chef Navid Akhtar said, “A lot of preparations were done in advance. We had to order all these ingredients, which are rarely available in the market, and source them from a very good vendor who took care of the quality. It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and the culinary team at Fairfield by Marriott is all set for a memorable Christmas season.
The view of the sunset, the view of the runway, and the vibe of Christmas—all these elements made this cake-mixing ceremony a sight to remember. The set-up and the place itself delivered a positive vibe which made the event more lively and cherishing.
The Cake mixing was all about mixing spices, dried fruits and nuts and a load of different types of liquor. All these ingredients are placed on a huge table. All the individuals present in the event put gloves and aprons on and mix these ingredients together. Once the mixing is done the prepared mix is then filled in the jars which are later used in the Christmas cakes.
The process of cake mixing will help in the preparation of the yummiest cakes that will be served during the Christmas week at the hotel.
This event of cake mixing is followed by Drinks and appetizers. We all enjoyed a glass of wine or the liquor of our choice along with the scrumptious appetizers which were available in veg and veg.
It was a wonderful experience.
