5) Shri Krishna (1993)

The popular Mythology of Indian television aired on 19 July 1993 in Doordarshan was directed by Ramanand Sagar. The episodes series is an adaptation of incidents of the life of Lord Vishnu based on the Bhagavata Puran, Bhramha Vaivarta Purana, Harivamsa, Bhagavad Gita, and the Mahabharata. In 1999, the show moved to Zee where the remaining episodes were broadcast. The show was a success completing 221 episodes starring Sarvadaman D. 7) Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman (2015)

The Indian mythology is based on the story of Lord Ram’s bhakt, Hanuman was premiered on 4 May 2015 on Sony TV. The childhood and the untold story of Lord Hanuman, who possesses various virtuous qualities, is considered the destroyer of evil throughout. Hence the name Sankat Mochan is very well depicted in the series from the viewpoint of Lord Shree Krishna and Devi Rukmani. The story runs on 3 parallel tracks. The first story is about Santoshi, a devout follower of Santoshi Maa who believes that the goddess is the ultimate remedy for all desolation. The second track depicts the story of Devloka where all gods and goddesses of the universe sojourn. Debouillon Santoshi with her alliance ‘Gau Mata’ (the cow) try best to help her devotees. 15) Luv Kush (1989)

The legendary Indian mythological series created, directed, and produced by Ramanand Sagar premiered in 1989 on DD National. It is a follow-up of Ramayan. Luv- kush series covers the last book- the Uttar Kanda- of the ancient Indian epic the Ramayana following Rama’s coronation especially focusing on his children, twins Luv and Kush. The show completed 44 episodes in total featuring Arun Govil, Deepika, Sunil Lahri, Dara Singh, Swapnil Joshi, and Mayuresh Kshetramade. Originally the show was titled Uttar Ramayan. An Indian Hindi television series of Sage Vishwamitra which aired in 1989, was produced and directed by Dasari Narayan Rao. The story follows the character of Kshatriya King Vishwarath becoming a Brahmarishi Vishwamitra the sage after a feud with Sage Vashishtha over the divine cow Nandini. The show has its original run on DD National, consisting of 27 episodes in total. Sage Vishwamitra had a great contribution to Ramayana.

18. Jai Ganga Maiyya (1998)

Jai Ganga Maiyya is a Hindi mythological drama series telecasted on DD National. The plot of the TV program is that Ganga is a living goddess born from the divine feet of Lord Vishnu preserved in the kamandal of Brahma sustained in his locks by Shiva brought to earth by Bhagirath. The lead role of Goddess Ganga was played by Reena Kapoor. There is a total of 104 episodes of this series.

Jai Jai Jai Bajrang Bali is an Indian Hindi mythological television series which was premiered on Sahara One in June 2011. The serial is based on the life of Hanuman, the Hindu Monkey God – Maruti, as he grow-ups in Anjana Pradesh along with his mother Anjana and father Kesari.
