The release of the second season has been under the carpet for over 2 years now, eventually, it is expected to release in November this year.
The first season of Mirzapur was released in 2018 with nine episodes on Amazon Prime Video with the star cast: Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Vikrant Massey, Divyenndu, Rasika Duggal and Shweta Tripathi. Mirzapur dialogues were so amazing that binge wathers can’t really wait for the season 2.
Season 1 saw the crime, mafia and ultimate rise of Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi) in the city of Mirzapur, he expands his business of carpets and his underworld business of local guns and drugs. His irresponsible and reckless son Munna (Divyenndu) tries to prove his father he is a worthy heir, yet kept failing. Out of jealousy from the recruits of his father, Bablu Bhaiya (Vikrant Massey) and Guddu Bhaiya (Ali Fazal); he tries to outshine them.
Season 1 focused on building the foundation of the hit tv series; full of entertainment and a wholesome package full of thrill and excitement.

Plot Season 2:
Much hasn’t been revealed about the plot, though the creators of Season 2 have promised to keep the thrill and excitement of season 1 uptight. It will resume from where season 1 left-off. End of it saw the death of one of the important characters Bablu Bhaiya, hence Vikrant Massey won’t be returning for this season. The story will progress without him, will revolve around more criminal happenings in Mirzapur and the involvement of mafia from the neighboring towns.
