Shining A Spotlight On The Biggest Stars In Art, Sport & Finance

Nearly everyone is obsessed with celebrities and the glamorous lives they live. Many of us admire the biggest stars in industries we are naturally interested in, ranging from music to sport. There is no shortage of talents and stars in these sectors, and many people are interested in their personal lives, since much of it is shrouded in secrecy. This article will shine a light on some of the biggest names in sports, arts, and finance.

Finance

The business world has a lot of talented and inspiring executives heading some of the world’s biggest organisations. According to research, the USA has several star CEOs, with an estimated 70 out of the planet’s 100 highest-paid executives originating from the United States. There are 21 highly-paid executives alone from New York state, 11 of whom come from New York City. For instance, JP Morgan Chase’s CEO James Dimon and Target Corporation CEO Brian Cornell originate from New York City.

London has also produced some great CEOs like James Quincey, the current CEO of the Coca-Cola Company. The University of Liverpool alumnus joined the company in 1996 and became CEO in December 2016 when Muhtar Kent retired. Anthony Wood, the CEO and founder of Roku Inc, is also one of the top executives in the world. Wood hails from Manchester, earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, and currently resides in Palo Alto, California.

Sports

Sports has perhaps the most stars compared to any industry since nearly every sportsperson is a celebrity. In football, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are undoubtedly the greatest players of their generation. Ronaldo was born in Funchal, Portugal, played for Sporting CP and was signed by Man United in 2003. He later transferred to Real Madrid but recently moved back to Manchester after resigning for  United in 2021. After leaving FC Barcelona, Rosario-born Lionel Messi now plies his trade in the French capital, alongside Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. The Argentine has struggled for form in Paris, but his contributions to PSG still help the club win games and football bets for ardent punters.

Footballers are not the only stars in the sports world since managers are also celebrities in their own right. English football is currently blessed with top managers like Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel, who both hail from Germany. Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelloti, Tottenham boss Antonio Conte, and Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri are all Italian and have managed the world’s biggest clubs.

Art

Actors and actresses get all the hype in the film industry, but filmmaking directors are the true stars of the art industry. Take Martin Scorsese, for example. Scorsese, the famous director of classics like The Wolf of Wall Street and The Irishman, hails from New York. Also, Clint Eastwood, director of Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby, is a native of California. France has more Palme D’or winners than any other country in Europe (17). Eight of these directors were born in Paris, while others hail from other French locations, such as Ben Hur director William Wyler, who comes from Mulhouse near the Swiss and German borders.
