1.The Great Pyramids of Giza
The great pyramids of Giza located in middle Egypt can be seen from Space. The below image was taken from the International space station in 2003. Let’s take an eye test, can you locate the pyramids in the image, just look at the center of the image and try to find? Did you find the great Giza pyramids?
2.The Palm island of Dubai
Palm Islands are three artificial man-made islands on the coast of Dubai. The construction of the islands began in 2001. These islands take the form of a palm tree topped by a crescent. 3. The Greenhouses at Almería
Almería in southern Spain has developed the largest concentrated greenhouses in the world. These greenhouses spread over 26,000 hectares. The greenhouses are also known for its cooling effects as they reflect a large amount of sunlight back into the atmosphere. The below image was captured in 2004.
4. The Kennecott Copper Mine
The Bingham Canyon Mine, also known as Kennecott Copper Mine is a mining operation located southwest of Salt Lake City, Utah. It extracts a large amount of copper deposit. The India and Pakistan Border is an international border running between India and Pakistan. The border’s total length is about 2,900 km (1,800 mi). It is also one of the most dangerous and controversial borders in the world. 6. Ganges River Delta
The Ganges Delta is a river delta in the Bengal region of South Asia, consisting of Bangladesh and the Indian state of West Bengal. It is the world’s largest river delta and carried into the Bay of Bengal. The delta is also one of the most fertile regions in the world, thus known as The Green Delta. It ranges from the Hooghly River on the west to the Meghna River on the east. The delta is so large and green that it can be seen from space. The below image was captured in 2000.
7. Grand Canyon
Grand Canyon of America is a national park located in Arizona state in the USA. The grand canyon is a steep-sided canyon formed by Colorado River. It is about 446 km long and up to 29 km wide. The grand canyon is said to have formed about 5-6 million years ago. The Canyon is so grand that it can be seen from space.
8. Amazon River
The Amazon River is the largest river in the world by the volume of water it carried. It flows through the tropical forests of South America primarily in Brazil. During the rainy season, parts of the Amazon river exceed 120 miles (190 km) in width. The river is so large that it can be observed from space.
9. Great barrier reef
The Great Barrier Reef located close to the coast of Queensland in Australia is the world’s largest coral reef. It is made up of over 600 islands and nearly 3000 coral reefs. It is about 2600 km long. The Great Barrier Reef is the largest structure in the world made by living things. The reef is so large that it can be seen from outer space. 10. The Himalayas
The Himalayas is a mountain range in Asia separating the plains of the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau. These mountains are the home to many of the Earth’s highest peaks, including the tallest, Mount Everest. The Himalayas include more than 50 mountains exceeding 7,200 meters (23,600 ft) in elevation. The snow-covered Himalayas can be seen from space.
Apart from the things we discussed, many other things like city lights at night, large bridges, and desert roads are also visible from the space.
