JEE Main Result 2019 – Everything You need to know!

The National Testing Agency will publish the result of JEE Main 2019 on 31st January 2019. Candidates can be able to check their results on the official website of JEE Main: jeemain.nic.in. To check your result, you have to submit your Application Number and Password (Date of Birth). As the exam was conducted in multiple numbers of shifts, therefore, the raw marks are converted into percentile scores using the normalization process. After releasing the result, the NTA will distribute the data to the Centralized Seat Allocation Board (CSAB)/JOSAA, State Government etc. If the candidate appears both the examination, then the best of the two NTA Scores will be considered for the further processing.

The JEE Main Result 2019 will be available online only. Candidates who have appeared the examination can check their results once announced. The Result will comprise of 4 scores- for each of the three subjects along with the total marks obtained by the candidates. Candidates who get qualified in the JEE Main Exam will be eligible to appear JEE Advanced 2019.

JEE Main Result 2019 Date

The Exam is conducted in two sessions- January and April 2019. The Exam is conducted online. Hence, candidates can give the examination twice in a year. The dates of declaring the result for both the sessions are as follows-

For January Session, the exam result will be declared on 31st January 2019. For the April session, the exam result will be declared on 31st April 2019.

2. Click on the Result Link
3. Enter the required details – JEE Main Rol Number and Date of Birth
4. The Result will be displayed on the screen
5. Check all the details carefully.
6. Download and take the printout of the result.

Marking Scheme of the Joint Entrance Examination Main 2019 –

The Examination follows a strict marking scheme. For every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded and for every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

How to Calculate Marks using JEE Main 2019 Answer Key?

The Answer Key of JEE Main for January Session has been released on 15th January 2019. By following the marking scheme of the examination, candidates can calculate their marks.

Total Positive Marks = (Total Number of Correct Attempts) X 4
Total Negative Marks = (Total Number of Incorrect Attempts) X 1
Total JEE Main Score = Total Number of Positive Marks – Total Number of Negative Marks

Cutoff of JEE Main 2019

The cutoff is the minimum set of marks, that the candidate has to score in order to be eligible for the further process. The previous year JEE Main Cutoff 2019 is as follows –

JEE Main Result 2019

The merit list will be declared at the time of counselling and class 12th marks will not be considered. The All India Ranking of the candidates will be on the basis of the scores obtained by the applicants. If more than two candidates score the same number of marks, then tie-breaking criteria are applied.

Tie-Breaking Criteria –

The Tie-Breaking Condition for B.E/B .Tech (other than IITs) is –

a. Higher marks in Matehmatics
b. Higher marks in Physics
c. Higher Marks in Chemistry
d. Candidates older in Age

Tie-Breaking Criteria for B.Arch (other than IITs) is-

a. Higher marks in Aptitude Test
b. Higher Marks in drawing test
c. Candidates older in age
