He has also hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati since last 7 seasons and for the latest season, Big B charged 3 crores per episode. For his latest film “Thugs of Hindustan,” he charged 15 crores. For each advertisement, he does he charge 2 crores per day and is generally hired for 3-5 days. Next, he will be seen in the movie “Badla” opposite Taapsee Pannu set to release in March 2019.
7. Ranbir Kapoor
Ranbir Kapoor continues the Kapoor fame with delivering us hit films like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani. The “Barfi” star earns 25 crores per film and is estimated to be next Bollywood superstar. Before the tremendous success of “Barfi”, the star charged 9 crores for the film. For the highly anticipated biopic on Sanjay Dutt “Sanju” Ranbir Kapoor charged the highest fees in his entire career for acting in the film and that is the whopping amount of 25 crores he was paid highest than his co-stars.
6. Ajay Devgan
The “Singham” star has shown us that he can do anything. He delivered movies like Suhaag, Gangajal, Kaal, and Yuva which were a major hit. He earns around 25-35 crores per film. The “Omkar” actor has shown us his comedy streak in movies like Golmaal, Bol Bachan, and Son Of Sardaar. And because of his huge success in “Bol Bachhan” he increased his fee to 1 crore for one day for the films in which he makes special appearances and for the thriller films like “Raid” his fee was 20 crores.
5. Hrithik Roshan
One of the best dancers in Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan is a top star, he earns approximately 40 crores per movie. He debuted in Bollywood industry with “Kaho Na Pyaar Hai”, and since then has made a mark for himself. He has also worked in “Krish” series where he won the hearts of child audiences. Hrithik Roshan starrer “Kaabil” entered 100 crore club and for the periodic film like “Mohenjo Daro,” he charged 50 crores.
4. Akshay Kumar
The “Khiladi” of Bollywood earns 40-45 crores per film. His recent success movies have been Gold, Jolly LLB 2 and 2.0 which were a huge hit on box office and entered the 100 crores club. The “Rustom” actor is one of the finest actors in Bollywood. Recently he has been doing movies like Toilet- Ek Prem Katha and Padman which spread the social message as well. In “Robot 2.0” he was seen in a negative role for which he charged 2 crores for per day shoot which was reportedly more than superstar Rajnikanth himself. The film itself collected 117 crores in Hindi version.
3. Shah Rukh Khan
The King Khan of Bollywood charged 40-45 crore for his movies “Pathan & Jawan”. Both the movies collected more than 1000 crores worldwide at a time when Bollywood was facing the challenge of bring views to the theater. The “Baazigar” actor also takes share from total profit earned by his film and that’s why he has been the richest actor in India. For his movie “Raees”, he opted for 50 percent profit share along with his usual fee as the movie entered the 100 crores club. In small budget movies like “Dear Zindagi,” SRK opted for collecting his fee and only took the profit percentage that is 50% and did not take any amount for acting.
2. Aamir Khan
“Mr. Perfectionist” of Bollywood earns 50 crores per movie and his movie “Dangal” was no different than others, it is to be believed that he took 33 percent of profit sharing with the success of the film. He may only do one film per year that movie breaks all the records of box office. His recent movie “Thugs of Hindustan” may not have been a huge success but the “Lagaan” actor still took 70 percent of the profit of the film. Still his roles in “Dangal” and “Dhoom 3” he bags the second position.
1. Salman Khan
The “Bhai” of Bollywood tops the rank with the fee of 60 crores for his latest film Race 3, becoming the highest paid celebrity. The “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” star faced a loss in Race 3 for which he was paid thrice the amount than his co-stars in 2018 yet remains on the top position. “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” star has been known to introduce youngsters in the Bollywood industry like Arjun Kapoor, Sooraj Pancholi with films like “Ishqzaade”(2012) and “Hero”(2015). Recently Salman Khan has also produced film “Love Yatri” which only collected 8 crores on the box office.
These numbers are not permanent. They change along with the performance of movies at the box office. Hence, you never know who is going to be on the top of the list next time. At the same time, if the movie didn’t do well on box-office, stars may reduce their fees for the next upcoming movies.
