Malayalam movie actor and producer made his screen debut in the movie Prabhuvinte Makkal. The films ABCD (2013), 7th Day (2014), and Ennu Ninte Moideen (2015) featured him in breakthrough roles and became popular among the masses in Kerala overnight. In the superhero movie Minnal Murali (2021) on Netflix, he played the lead role which was acclaimed a lot by the critics. The movie Kilometers and Kilometers was co-produced by Tovino. He established Tovino Thomas Productions, his own production company, on January 21, 2021. In Kala, the first project from his own production company, he also portrayed the adversary.
Tovino is considered as one of Kerala’s most attractive men because of his ever-changing appearance and sense of style; the Kochi Times voted him #1 in 2018. Tovino received the 2022 SIIMA Award for Best Actor for his roles in Kala and Minnal Murali. For his role in Ennu Ninte Moideen (2015), he was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.
