In the second episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho introduced his new stable via promo. The promo took the entire wrestling world by storm as it not only had the AEW World Champion Chris Jericho introducing the new stable but also saw him taking an obvious jibe at the WWE. The stunt sure helped the ratings to skyrocket and undoubtedly, Jericho can be credited to all of it.
Jericho began by talking about the group of men who were by his side and them being the next and the now. Jericho’s speech was however met by the “We the people!” chant from the crowd. It used to be the gimmick used by Jake Hager a.k.a Jack Swagger in his WWE days. Jericho didn’t refrain from calling out the crowd for doing so.
Chris Jericho’s View
“We the people sucks and it’s dead and buried. It was a stupid idea from bad creative and all of that is gone.”
Chris Jericho, Jake Hager aka Jack Swagger, Sammy Guevara, Santana, and Ortiz have joined together as the Inner Circle. Jericho even explained how special each member was. Jericho described Sammy Guevara as a Mexican heartthrob. Santana and Ortiz as dirtier and nastier than they’ve ever been. He then introduced Jake Hager as the toughest, most terrifying, crazy MMA fighter in the world.
Jericho then went on to name his group “The Inner Circle”. Jericho proclaimed that they are now taking control of AEW.
Jericho finally ended his promo by calling out his opponent for the AEW Full Gear, Cody Rhodes. Jericho boldly predicted that he will be kicking Cody Rhodes’ ass at Full Gear while beating the ever-living shit out of him and then let his Inner Circle walk the streets of Baltimore and have a little bit of the bubbly.
The AEW Full Gear is all set to take place on Saturday, November 9th. It will be broadcasted live from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. At the AEW Full Gear, the AEW World Champion Chris Jericho is set to fight Cody Rhodes. Jericho will also be defending his AEW World Title against Darby Allin at AEW Dynamite.
