Bollywood Drama is not only entertaining on-screen but also off-screen. Their reality doesn’t look that different. Many of the Bollywood celebrities broke up recently, some of them were in fact shocking to hear. Celebrity relationships that were considered «couple goals» also got divorced and broke the fans. Therefore, going to brief those top 10 Bollywood divorces that were ultra-expensive in their time.

Hrithik Roshan and Suzanne Khan

Childhood lovers Hrithik and Suzanne married in 2000 and were together for about 13 years. Hrithik and Suzanne share the parenting responsibility for their two sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan. Although it has been difficult, they are doing their best when it comes to their parenting duties. Even before the divorce, Suzanne moved out of the Roshan family home. It was reported that Suzanne had asked Hrithik for a massive 400 cr. Alimony, which Hrithik had agreed to.

But the rumors were contradicted by Hrithik on his Twitter account. There were talks that Hrithik had an affair with Kangana, to which Hrithik Roshan replied that he would prefer ‘to date a pope’. There were also allegations that they had decided to separate because Suzanne was apparently getting closer to Arjun Rampal.

The couple is still friends and was also seen celebrating their son’s birthday party together. This was one of the shocking Bollywood divorces ever.

Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur

Karisma Kapoor married industrialist Sunjay Kapur, Sixt India’s CEO on September 29, 2003. The couple has one daughter Samaira, born in 2005, and one son Kiaan, born in 2010. The couple filed for divorce through mutual consent in 2014, and the divorce was finalized in 2016. Karisma Kapoor requested the house of Sunjay’s father (in Khar) transferred to her name and that Sunjay should purchase bonds worth Rs. 14 crores for the children, which will attract a monthly interest of around Rs.10 lakh. A report from Spotboye, one of the top entertainment tabloids, said Sunjay would have to bear all the kids’ expenses. It is believed that the cause of divorce was Sunjay’s disloyal nature.

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh

Nawab of Pataudi Saif Ali Khan met actress Amrita Singh while shooting Bekhudi, whom he married in October 1991. They have one daughter, Sarah Ali Khan, and one son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, born in 1995 and 2001 respectively. The couple was separated later in 2004, after 13 years of marriage.

The amount of alimony was never disclosed and Saif was required to support her children-.
“I’m supposed to give Amrita Rs 5 crore, of which I’ve already given her approximately Rs 2.5 crore. Also, I’m paying Rs 1 lakh per month until my son becomes 18. I’m not Shah Rukh Khan. I don’t have that kind of money. I’ve promised her I’ll pay up the rest of the money, and I will, even if I’ve to slog till I drop dead. ” Said Saif Ali Khan in an old interview.
Saif Ali Khan is currently married to Kareena Kapoor with two beautiful children.

Farhan Akhtar And Adhuna Bhabani

Farhan Akhtar, the Indian movie actor, director, screenwriter, playback singer, producer married hairdresser Adhuna Bhabhani in 2000. They met on the set of Dil Chahta Hai, which also marked Adhuna’s debut as a Bollywood hairstylist, and have two daughters named Shakya and Akira. The couple publicly announced that they had separated after 16 years of marriage on January 21, 2016.

It was reported that Farhan will pay one-time alimony to Adhuna and she also desired to keep their house Vipassana, a 10,000 square foot bungalow in Bandstand, Mumbai for herself. Custody has been granted to Adhuna, but Farhan can see his daughters anytime. Farhan is now in a relationship with V J Shibani Dandekar since 2018 and there were also rumors about him dating back to Shraddha Kapoor.

Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta

Aamir Khan married Reena Dutta, who played a small role in the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak on 18th April 1986. They have two children: a son called Junaid and a daughter, Ira. Reena was also a producer in a few of his films like Lagaan. The couple divorced in 2002 and Reena received custody of their two children. The reason for the divorce is said to be temperamental differences, and Reena Dutta got an alimony amount of approximately 50 crores.
Aamir Khan is now married to Kiran Rao, who had been an assistant director Gowariker on the set of Lagaan.

Sanjay Dutt and Rhea Pillai

Sanjay Dutt married flight attendant Rhea Pillai in 1998, two years after the death of her first wife from a brain tumor. Sanjay was very fond of Rhea but she is said to have fallen in love with the tennis star, Leander Paes. Their divorce was finalized in 2008 and Sanjay gave her a luxury apartment facing the sea with a pricey car as alimony. He also paid off her bills for a very long time.
Sanjay is now married to Manyata Dutt and is a father of twins, a boy, and a girl.

Aditya Chopra and Payal Khanna

Aditya Chopra, current Chairman of India’s multinational film, media, and entertainment conglomerate, Yash Raj films was married to his childhood friend Payal Khanna. They got divorced in 2009, and it was speculated that Aditya had an affair with Rani Mukherjee. The divorce took a lot of time to be finalized as Payal had demanded a huge amount. It is said that Payal got around 50 crores as alimony.
Aditya, later in 2014 got married to Rani Mukherjee.

Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora

Arbaaz Khan married model and actor Malaika Arora Khan in 1998. They also have a son Arhaan, born in 2002. The couple announced their separation on 28 March 2016 and subsequently got divorced in 2017. They had approached Bandra family court for divorce with mutual consent, it is said that Malaika Arora received alimony of about Rs.15 crores and also the custody of her son. The couple still has a very friendly relationship and Malaika is still included in a lot of Khan family gatherings.

Prabhu Deva and Ramlath

Prabhu Deva married Ramlatha and later changed her name to Latha. They have three children, one of whom passed away from cancer in 2008. Ramlath, in 2010 filed a petition at the family court, seeking directions against Deva From live-in relation with the actress Nayanthara and requesting a reunion with him.

Numerous women’s organizations supported it and organized protests against Nayanthara. They finally divorced in 2011, and Ramlatha settled for single alimony of 10 lakh rupees with two expensive cars and the property worth 20-25 crores.

Deva is now married to Himani, a Mumbai-based physiotherapist in May 2020, amidst lockdown.

Leander Pais and Rhea Pillai

Rhea Pillai allegedly left Sanjay and moved to Leander Paes. They both have a daughter, Aiyana. The divorce was quite ugly, and Rhea filed a case in a local metropolitan court against Paes in 2014, alleging that he had her belongings removed from a wing of his home so his visiting parents could stay there. They made accusations in the press. Rhea demanded alimony for 4 lakh rupees, 3 lakh for her own, and 90,000 for the maintenance of their daughter who attended the most expensive school in Mumbai.
