8. LEARN A NEW SKILL OR HOBBY
People add this in their bucket list of resolutions because with a new year they see a new self, a better self, and an improved self. With learning something new helps people make them feel better about them, help them deal with insecurities. You can learn painting, drawing, dancing even singing! A new hobby will help you to connect with yourself. While looking for a new hobby some things to be kept in mind are:
– Pick something you enjoy
– Try to challenge yourself
– Do not surrender if you fail once
7. MAKE NEW FRIENDS
If you already got friends to consider yourself blessed. Be sure you have someone in your life you can count on. But there is no harm in adding another person in your group, someone who shares the same perspective as you both, has the same interest, or maybe is just as crazy as you are. This will add variety in your life, that friend can help you see the world from a different angle. Go out on an outing together, have lunch together and try to include that friend as much as possible to create a strong bond.
6. SPEND MORE TIME WITH FAMILY
This is a must in your New Year’s resolution if you don’t already spend time with your family. Having a family is a gift from God, the most precious of them all. In our busy lives, we tend to forget about people who are with us through thick and thin. Our family has spent their whole life in making us what we are today, and in return, they require nothing but our time. If this is in your New Year’s resolution list then what is stopping you? During New Year people think about what they did for their family, and if they find that they were not able to spend as much amount of time as they should, they think that New Year’s is the best time to start.
5. REDUCE THE USAGE OF SOCIAL MEDIA
You will always find the new generation on social media like Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat and seldom in real world enjoying it. Social media robs the people of their life and moments are missed. Now not only youngsters but elderly are addicted to social media as well. This New Year’s many people are taking a pledge to go on digital detox which allows them to keep their mobile phones away and enjoy the real world. They do not want to see the world through their mobile’s screen but with their real eyes and not just save photos, but memories.
4. LOVE YOURSELF MORE
This resolution has been an interesting one, in today’s world when everyone is obsessed to look good on the outside; they forget that what is inside matters are as well. In the hoard of getting approval from others, we forget to appreciate ourselves. This resolution has bagged the 4th place because it is interesting and important as well. Let’s make this New Year a little less about others, and a little more about us. Life is not about just breathing, it’s about living. And if we are not happy with ourselves, we are just passing time on Earth.
3. SLEEP MORE
In the era of mobile phones, when people prefer scrolling through mobile oversleeping, sleep more has become one of the most important New Year’s resolutions. It’s not compulsory that a person does not sleep because of phones, sometimes the reason is people as well. You can use sleep as an excuse to avoid people too! You don’t want to deal with stupid people? Tell them you were sleeping! The new generation has been more prone to sleep deficiency because of wondering what others think of them, rather than getting their sleep. This leads to depression and anxiety.
2. DO NOT MAKE NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION
Now let’s admit the truth, everyone has set a new year’s resolution once in their lifetime. With this truth let’s also admit that we were unable to follow through it. So setting no new year’s resolution is also a resolution now. With the hectic life, people seldom get to work on themselves. So to make ourselves feel better, we make promises. That is broken. Although people do follow through their resolutions, the numbers are less. According to a survey, only 8% of people are able to achieve their goal.
1. BATH DAILY
Now, this is a resolution that deserves first place, and rightfully so. I mean its winter! It is too much of hassle for some people to follow the hygiene routine daily. It is an honest answer because as a New Year’s resolution people always tell you the filmy agendas they have set, seldom people tell the truth. It takes too much time to wait for the warm water and then follow the procedure, but it is necessary so it should be the top priority and hence bags the first position on the most interesting New Year’s resolution for 2019.
There is this saying, “it’s better late than never”. You can set a goal for yourself anytime and start working on them. It’s not mandatory to wait till the New Year’s. Do you guys have any interesting New Year’s resolution set for 2019? Let us know in the comment section!
