1 . Union Budget Highlights 2020-2021 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. 

Union Budget 2020 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharamanto revive economic growth and boost people’s income. The budget primarily focused on 3 major aspects of the economy. Aspirational India, Economic development, Caring society. 

The income tax for those earning between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 7.5 lakh will be slash to 10 per cent from 20 per cent. The income tax for those earning between Rs 7.5 and Rs 10 lakh will be slash to 15 per cent from 20 per cent. The income tax for those earning between Rs 10 and Rs 12.5 lakh will be cut to 20 per cent from 30 per cent. The income tax for those earning between Rs 12.5 lakh and Rs 15 lakh will be slash to 25 per cent from 30 per cent. 30 per cent tax rate will still be valid for those earning above Rs 15 lakh. There will be no tax for those earning Rs 5 lakh and Rs 690 billion will be devoured on healthcare spending.

2- G-7 agrees to work with the WHO to tackle Coronavirus Hong Kong reports its first death from Coronavirus

G-7, have agreed to operate with the WHO, EU, and China glancing for a  policy to deal with the quick-spreading Novel Coronavirus. 

They are probably going to concoct their procedure on movement stratagems and safeguards just as the investigation into the infection.

The number of deaths from the novel coronavirus has risen to 2,465 worldwide. There are at least 78,800 cases globally, and 23 deaths outside mainland China.

3- DefExpo 2020 attracts more than 1,000 companies for defence by Rajnath Singh.

Defence Ministers and service chiefs of 38 countries are joining in the 11th edition of the Expo. Apart from that 1,028 companies, including 172 foreign corporations, are obeying this year’s exhibition.

The missile, with a dual-mode IIR suppliant, has a span of over 200 to 2,500 metres. Trained with a tandem warhead, Amogha-III is a leading immediate invasion missile. It will be commercialised after the prosperous culmination of user trials.

4- Sourav Ganguly to accept India’s goodwill ambassador offer for Tokyo Olympics

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has accepted Indian Association’s (IOA) offer to become the goodwill ambassador of the Indian contingent at the Tokyo Olympics this year.

The IOA extends the honour to Ganguly to be the Goodwill Ambassador of Team India to the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020.

5 – India and Portugal sign 14 agreements in areas including defence, culture and yoga.

India and Portugal signed 14 agreements to strengthen alliance in a span of areas, comprising defence, investment, transport, ports, culture, and industrial and intellectual property rights and yoga. The agreements were signed after extensive talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa in New Delhi.

The economic ties between India and Portugal are on the rise, and bilateral trade has crossed a billion dollars.

6 – Police constable killed in New Delhi violence.

7 – Trump tours Taj Mahal, Trump on 2 days Indian visit!

8 – Swara Bhaskar on NRC and CAA.

Pharmaceutical and electronic manufacturing sectors, which are highly dangling on China for inputs, may be affected.
