7. Gully Boy
Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy is a musical drama and biopic film. The film is based on the lives of Naezy, known for their song “Mere Gully Mein” in Mumbai. Featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt is the lead role, the film is set to release on Valentines Day of 2019. Loved watching the epic street rap song, now get ready to explore their lives on the big screen.
8. Brahmastra
The first part of Bollywood’s own superhero trilogy, Brahmastra is a fantasy film. Written and directed by Ayan Mukherji, The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy in lead roles. The film was announced by producer Karan Johar in October 2017. Are you eagerly waiting for Bollywood’s fantasy superhero film, you may have to wait till August 2018.
9. Bharat
The action drama film, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar is Salman Khan’s Eid release film for the year 2019. Starring Katrina Kaif, Tabu, and Disha Patani, the film’s principal photography started in June 2018. Priyanka Chopra was also about to act in the film but she opted out of the film before filming her scenes. She gave personal reasons for quitting the film and she was replaced by Katrina Kaif. Salman Khan’s fans have already started waiting for the Bhai’s Eid release.
10. Kalank
Kalank is a multistarrer period drama film set in the 1940s during the partition of India and Indian independence struggle. Directed by Abhishek Varman, The film has Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Kunal Khemu, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles. Karan Johar, one of the producers of the film conceptualized the film 15 years ago with his father Yash Johar but things did not work out. Initially, late actress Sridevi was signed for the role now played by Madhuri Dixit. The film is set to release in April 2019.
11. Student of the Year 2
Sequel to the 2012 film Student of the Year, The film’s star cast has been changed completely. The film now stars Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Ananya Pandey in the lead roles. Ananya Pandey, the daughter of Chanki Pandey starting her Bollywood carrier with this film. Produced under the banner of Dharma Productions, Student of the Year 2 is scheduled for release in May 2019.
12. Kick 2
The second installment of the Kick franchisee, The film Kick may be released around Christmas, 2019. It will Salman Khan’s second movie in 2019 after Eid release of Bharat. Salaman’s fans will be so happy that their favorite actor will be back as Devil in Kick2. Sajid Nadiadwala has already started working on the script. It is still not sure whether the original star cast of Kick movie will return or there will be some changes in the star cast.
