Slumdog Millionaire (2008) is a British drama film directed by Danny Boyle and written by Simon Beaufoy. The film was produced by Christian Colson and set and filmed in India. The film is loosely based on novel Q & A (2005) written by Vikas Swarup, an Indian author and diplomat The novel tells the story of Jamal Malik from the Juhu slums of Mumbai.
