Jodhpur ,also known as  the Blue City and Sun City, in Rajasthan is one of the finest cities in India which you must visit.  The exquisite palaces, forts, museums, shrines are all wrapped up in this magnificent city which is named after its founder Rao Jodha. Come and experience the natural beauty and magnificent architecture of Jodhpur. Given below are the best tourist places to explore. 

1. MEHRANGARH  FORT

One of the largest Indian forts stands 400 feet above the city. It is located on a Hill top and gives a majestic view of the Blue City.The intricacies of the fort and architectural grandeur makes this place so excellent. The interior  design of Mehrangarh Fort gives you a royal experience. Undoubtedly, this one which was built by Rao Jodha stands as the major attractions of the city which depicts the rich culture and heritage of  Jodhpur. You can not only explore the fort’s Museum but also visit the Ranisar and Padmasar lakes.

2. UMAID BHAWAN PALACE

 You just can’t say No to this amazing Palace. Built in 1943, this palace is a combination of a fascinating past and opulent present. It is named after the then Maharaja of Jodhpur, Raja Umaid Singh. The tourists here will experience an aesthetic mixture of Indian and European style of architecture. This is also a private residence and has a museum boasting of royal paintings. One of the breathtaking and celebrated places in Jodhpur, Umaid Bhawan Palace is a must visit.

3. KALYANA LAKE

This manmade Lake serves as a primary source for drinking water for the citizens of Jodhpur. The view of the sunset from this place is stunning. You will also notice some of the beautiful birds here. If you want to indulge in the calmness of nature then you cannot forget this place. 

4. MANDORE GARDENS

This beautiful tourist spot is 9kms far away from the main city. The Lawn, Royal cenotaphs,Hall of Heroes, a Temple of 33 crore gods, Government Museum are the major attractions of Mandore Garden. There is also a huge Hindu temple which depicts some images of Hindu deities. The Government Museum is full of artefacts and relics which gives you a historical idea of the region. Among the different attractions, Mandore Garden is one of the best tourist spots in Jodhpur.

5. JASWANT THADA

Yes, this is an amazing place to visit. This white marble wonder of Jodhpur is often called the Taj Mahal of Marwar. Here, the visitors can see beautiful portraits of the various rulers of Jodhpur. Local musicians and folk singers sit on the steps of the monument to greet the visitors. This is a perfect example of architectural brilliance.

6. MACHIYA SAFARI PARK

Situated about 1km away from Kalyana Lake, the Machiya Safari Park is an ideal place for nature and wildlife admirers. Unique birds can be spotted from an exclusive bird point. Inside the park premises, there is a fort from which you can get a spectacular sunset view. Don’t forget the Elephant riding. The place which is so famous with children will surely justify your visit ,as here you will  explore the wildlife like never before.

7. PHOOL MAHAL

This beautifully decorated hall was a pleasure dome of the Maharajas who were entertained by female dancers. Showing off a classy decoration, the room is excellently decorated with rich filigree work of gold on the ceilings. The hall which gives you the feeling of an aristocratic splendour also has paintings and portraits of the 18th century.  The extraordinary interior decoration is the main reason why one should pay a visit to this wonderful Mahal.

8. RAO JODHA DESERT ROCK PARK

This  was created in 2006 to restore the natural ecology of this neglected terrain. One can see a variety of desert plants here. The park also has some reptile species and over 200 species of birds.  Away from the  noise of  the town this is a nice place to enjoy peace.

9. BISHNOI VILLAGE

It is a small village near Jodhpur where you can take the fun of  Camel Trek, Desert Excursion, Cane Spotting, Village Walk and much more. You will get the idea of a typical village lifestyle and undoubtedly enjoy the tranquil environment. Talk to and feel nature in this beautiful place. 

10. GHANTA GHAR

This is a clock tower in the centre of the city  built about 200 years ago.  It is a busy shopping site for traditional clothes and also includes mouth-watering street food. If you are a shopaholic, then you must visit this place.

All of the places are good. But I would love to visit phool Mahal. And amazing writing loved it got so much information about Jodhpur and would really like to visit this Blue City of India💙💙♥️
