6 HOMEMADE FACEMASKS FOR HEALTHY AND GLOWING SKIN

In today’s day and age healthy and glowing skin is something which everybody dreams of but due to the urban lifestyle and increasing pollution maintaining a healthy skin becomes difficult. Moreover the expensive skincare products available in the market not only burn holes in your pockets but also the chemicals present in those products may damage your skin further. But there is a solution to it, there are many cost effective facemasks which you can easily prepare at home and they can prove to be a miracle healer for your skin. Below are some facemasks which you can use to get a healthy glow to your skin :

1. UBTAN MASK

Mix 1 tbsp of gram flour or besan and add a pinch of turmeric or haldi to it and then mix 1 tbsp of yogurt to it and make a thick paste. Apply this pack on your face and leave it on for 10 mins and then wash off. Use it twice a week to get rid of sun tanning and for effective cleansing of the face. You can also apply it to your body for dead skin removal. Due to the mildly course gram flour it can also act as a soft scrub.

2. HONEY MASK

Mix together 1 tsp of honey and add a few drops of lemon juice to it along with few drops of rose water. This pack can give miraculous results if you are suffering from acne or acne scars, the antibacterial properties of honey and Vitamin C in lemon helps deal with acne and acne marks. Apply this masks on existing acne and acne scars and leave it on for 15 mins and then wash with lukewarm water. Use it thrice a week for good results.

3. PAPAYA MASK

Mash 4-5 cubes of papaya and add 2 tsp of honey to it. Apply it on your face and leave it for 20 mins then wash off with lukewarm water. This mask can work wonders in healing dry and skin. Papaya and honey moisturize your skin. Use this mask thrice a week for effective results.

4. BANANA MASK

Mash about half a banana and add 2 tsp of curd to it. This mask removes dead skin and prevents skin aging, it also moisturizes your skin. Apply this mask on your face and leave for 20 mins and then wash off with lukewarm water. Use this mask twice a week for best results.

5. MULTANI MITTI MASK

Mix together 2 tsp of multani mitti and rose water to make a thick paste. Apply this mask for 10 mins and then wash with lukewarm water. This mask controls excess sebum production in your skin to control possible acne. This mask is appropriate for people with oily skin.     

6. YOGURT MASK

Mix together 1 tbsp of curd and half a tbsp of honey and apply this mask on your face, then leave it for 20 mins and wash off with lukewarm water. The lactic acid in curd serves as a gentle expoliator and also tightens open pores. Honey provides glow to your skin and prevents aging. Use this mask thrice a week for best results.
