How important are YouTube ideas? Well, here’s the thing. YouTube is quickly getting saturated. Regardless of your niche, regardless of your background, regardless of the audience you’re trying to reach, there are probably going to be people already on YouTube.

And one of the best ways to prevent this from happening is to pay close attention to what your competitors are making videos about and copy those themes. This pretty much guarantees that you will be talking about the issues and topics that your target audiences are truly interested in.

As important as this is, it just puts you in the ballpark.

Now, you have to distinguish yourself. You have to stand apart from the competition. You have to create content that separates you. And this is where the hard work comes in. You have to make these topics reflective of your specific brand.

Let me use an example. There are lots of whiteboard videos on YouTube, and a lot of them talk about the same stuff. But some brands stand out because of a particular approach, a particular voice, or something that makes them different.

This difference might be slight. On the surface, it might not even be all that big, but these differences do add up. So, your job is to use these differences and really connect them with what makes your brand special.

You have to come off as something that is slightly different from the competition because, let’s put it this way, if your audience members think that there’s really not much difference between your channel’s brand identity and your competitors, then there’s really not much reason for them to go to your channel instead of the hundreds of other competitor channels and videos out there. Do you see the point here? You have to be proactive. You have to step up by producing the right Youtube videos so you will get more likes and comments. Make no mistake, there is such a thing as Youtube video optimization. Youtube doesn’t just suggest videos randomly based on keywords. Instead, there are complicated algorithms involved.
